Supervisor scanning a steel furniture panel with a mobile app for real-time shop floor tracking

Steel FurnitureShopfloor Planning & Tracking

Bespoke steel furniture maker speeds time to market by 35%

35%Reduction in time to market
10%Reduction in management staff
Panel-level visibility
Planning & follow-up effort
Challenge

Every bespoke order is made up of many unique panels. Planning and chasing each one from the RM Store to shipment took heavy management effort and slowed deliveries.

Solution

An AI-based Android mobile app to plan and track each panel on the shopfloor, from RM Store to shipment. Teams always know where every panel is, orders move faster, and fewer managers are needed to coordinate.

Technician scanning QR-coded aerospace parts into a kitting tray to prevent kitting errors

AerospaceKitting & Material Control

Aerospace component manufacturer eliminates kitting errors and frees up 4 FTEs

100%Reduction in kitting errors
4 FTEManpower saved
Manual kitting effort
Kitting accuracy & traceability
Challenge

Kitting errors were creating rework and delays on the shopfloor. The manual process needed too many people and could not guarantee that every kit was complete and correct.

Solution

A kitting system designed around QR codes and standard Android mobile phones — no specialised hardware. Every part is scanned and verified against the kit list, so errors are caught before a kit leaves the store, with 4 fewer people needed.

Aquaculture fish feed business using a GPS-enabled mobile app to manage its field sales team

AquacultureField Sales Automation

Fish feed company triples daily sales with GPS-enabled field sales app

3.3×Increase in daily sales volume
50Fewer field sales employees
Manual attendance reporting
Field visibility & accountability
Challenge

A fish feed company with 250 field salespeople had limited visibility into daily customer visits. Attendance was self-reported, with the entire team recording 100% attendance for eight consecutive months. Sales information shared through WhatsApp and handwritten notes was difficult to verify or analyse.

Solution

EasyCloud developed a simple mobile app that records GPS-tagged farmer visits, photographs and structured sales feedback. Attendance was linked to documented field activity, helping management identify reporting irregularities, monitor sales activity and track customer follow-ups. Within three months, daily sales increased from 1.3 to 4.3 tonnes, while the sales team reduced from 250 to approximately 200 employees.

Quality inspector testing a product with results recorded on a tablet connected to the MES

Commercial Equipment & AppliancesAutomated Quality Control

Commercial refrigeration manufacturer automates 100% product testing through Machine–MES integration

100%Products tested before packaging
Serial-LevelQuality verification & traceability
Manual quality verification
Testing accuracy & packaging control
Challenge

A commercial refrigeration manufacturer needed to ensure that every product met stringent quality standards before packaging. Each unit was tested for electrical performance, temperature and energy consumption. However, acceptable test limits varied with ambient temperature, making pass/fail decisions complex and requiring reliable verification for every product.

Solution

EasyCloud integrated the production-line testing equipment with the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), automatically capturing test readings and evaluating them against temperature-adjusted quality parameters. Each result was linked to the product's unique serial number. Packaging labels were printed only for products that passed all required tests, enabling 100% automated quality verification, product-level traceability and controlled packaging.

Quality engineer measuring a precision component beside a 3D measurement machine connected to the MES

Defence & AerospaceAutomated Dimensional Inspection

Aerospace component manufacturer automates precision inspection through Machine–MES integration

16–17Manufacturing stages requiring quality checks
AutomatedDimensional measurement & pass/fail evaluation
Manual measurement effort
Inspection consistency & dimensional accuracy
Challenge

A manufacturer of precision aerospace components for the defence industry needed to maintain stringent dimensional tolerances across multiple production stages. Some components passed through 16–17 manufacturing processes, requiring quality checks at each stage. Engineers relied on manual measurements using screw gauges, vernier calipers and other instruments, making inspection labour-intensive and time-consuming.

Solution

EasyCloud integrated a 3D dimensional measurement machine with the Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Engineers place a component on the machine and select the corresponding engineering drawing. The machine automatically measures the component's dimensions, compares them against the specified tolerances and determines pass/fail status. This enables faster, more consistent dimensional inspection, reduces manual measurement effort and supports quality control throughout the multistage manufacturing process.
